Nerja, Spain (By Night)

Today we had a smallish sleep in and hit the road around 11am. We drove most of the day and arrived in Nerja just before sunset. This was a last minute decission, all I had read was it had some really nice beaches. We got there about 8pm, Aims and I went for a walk to find a bathroom while Jo and Jake started to get the dinner ready. It was Sunday night so we really didn’t expected anything to be open. The place we found to park was a huge dirt car park but it was full of cars and campers. Aims and I followed the direction of all the people and found ourselves in a busy little coastal town centre. There were people everywhere and most of them were speaking English. There were hundreds of restaurants, bars, horse drawn carts for the tourists and about 20 people doing portraits of tourists in the square. We decided to call the other 2 and get them down to have a look sooner rather than later as we did not know what time it may close. After a little bit confusion we finally met up and it was a unanimous decision to find a restaurant for beers and Paella! The pasta would have to wait another night.
The restaurant was a little touristy but a little way away from the main square so not too bad. The Paella was fantastic! Probably could have eaten another 2 pans worth. We then retired to the van at about midnight and all went to sleep very satisfied.
