Florence (Day 2), Italy

Today we got up early and headed straight for the Uffizi gallery. This contained many famous works of art from Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Botticelli, Raphael, etc etc
Some of the better known works was the Birth of Venus and Venus of Urbino.
You are not allowed to take photos but i did anyway....some are a little crooked but you can see what i am trying to achieve.
From the Uffizi we headed to the Accademia di Belle Arti Firenze. This houses the original David statue. Seeing David was definitely worth the entry fee but the rest of the gallery was not as impressive and seemed rather small. Again photos are not permitted but i still managed to get away with some alright shots. After another long day of walking we headed back to camp to get ready for an early departure the next morning and enjoyed a lovely evening relaxing at the campsite bar watching the sunset over Florence.
Amy bumped into a friend from back home who were doing a van trip as well. Gene and Steve came back to our van for some drinks and what was meant to be an early night turned into quite a late one for some....
