St. Raphael, France

We had planned that today we would travel to St. Tropez so we got up had breakfast and went down to reception to find out how we exactly get there. So after finding out that we get a train to St. Raphael and then a bus we were on our way. On arrival to St. Raphael we found out that we had an hour wait for the bus and it was a further hour and a half journey. Our other option was a ferry that was quite expensive but again we had a long wait! So feeling a little defeated at the fact that it was already early afternoon we decided to have a look around St. Raphael. It is a lovely, lively town with a sandy beach (we’re already over the pebbled beaches! Yes we are snobs and prefer sand any day!)! So we had a look around the shops and then headed to the beach for a swim. We stayed for hours and the boys had fun playing around in the water and being “boys” so much so that the people next to us go “they’re definitely Australians!”, thanks boys! After the sun was beginning to go down and everyone’s appetite increased we went in search for a good place to eat for dinner. Jakes, Chris and I were in search of some good mussels. We found some and had a nice meal. There was also night markets on in the main street so it was nice to go for a stroll on a balmy evening before having to get the last train back to the campsite.
