After doing a bit of research about what else there was to see in the French Riveria, Aims and Jake discovered a set of 2 small islands of Cannes. one of which was supposedly the place the man in the iron mask had been confined. We caught a ferry out from Cannes and were there within 30 minutes. We sat and had our pre made sandwiches once we arrived and then it was time to explore the island. There were some really nice rocky pools and really clear water with sandy bottoms. We wandered around the island for about 3 hours. It had a very Australian feel about it, as if we had just gone for a bush walk on the coast somewhere, the smell of eucalyptus in the air. We had a swim and then caught the boat back into Cannes. Then it was back to the campsite to pack and get ready to hit the road again the next day.
